DESCRIPTION:Our storytime\, which is every Wednesday at 10:30 am\, is designed for preschoolers and early elementary students. Kids will hear several stories then get to do an activity\, such as a craft\, STEM/STEAM\, or physical activity. Some weeks there will be songs\, fingerplays\, or flannel board stories as well. \nWe hope you’ll join us!

SUMMARY:Summer Reading Storytime: Animal Adventures
DESCRIPTION:Meet us at the Ace Stillwater Civic Center for Animal Adventures with Zoo Montana on July 1st at 10:30 am. \nJoin a zookeeper and their amazing animal ambassadors to learn about special traits that help them survive in the wild.  From under rocks\, in caves\, dug in burrows and beneath the soil\, animals can be found everywhere!  Summer Reading raffle prize winners to be announced afterwards\, need not be present to win.  Click here for more information. \nEvery Wednesday during our usual Storytime hour\, Unearth a Story with t-rexellent presenters\, hands on activities and rawr-some books! Aimed for ages 4-12 (but all ages are welcome to attend.) \nZoo Montana in Billings is the state’s only accredited zoo and botanical park\, a 70-acre facility focusing on animals from the 45th parallel north (the region including Montana\, the Rocky Mountains\, Europe\, and Asia). It hosts nearly 100 animals from 58 species—many of which are rescues—within natural\, spacious habitats rather than\, for example\, featuring tropical giraffes.

DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: This program has been postponed till July 1st at 3 pm.  Copies are still available for pickup in the library. \nFoster a love for reading\, build social skills through discussions\, get creative with bookish activities and enjoy snacks with Megan from the Stillwater County Library Foundation.  We will discuss Cincinnati Lee\, Curse Breaker by Heidi Heilig. Copies will be available to borrow after May 27th.  To reserve your copy visit us at the library or call 406-322-5009. For ages 8-13. \n \nCincinnati Lee’s great great (great?) grandfather is famous. His adventures discovering ancient artifacts have been made into movies\, and his work is widely respected by museums across the world. The thing is\, in that line of work\, you’re bound to get cursed. And that leaves your great great (great?) granddaughter to break the curse by returning the artifacts you “preserved.”3: \nCincinnati’s own adventure begins in the Cosmopolitan Museum in New York City\, where her single mom works and Cincinnati has grown up. Soon she learns about the ancient Spear of Destiny–and its potential to right all the wrongs in her family’s past. Or bring about the end of the world. It all depends on whose hands it falls into. Cincinnati must beat two relic hunters to the spear\, and her quest will take her to surprising locations throughout the city and even across the Atlantic Ocean. Along the way\, she’ll make a new friend (which is not the easiest thing to do)\, make some enemies (surprisingly easy to do)\, and ultimately learn what makes the world worth saving. Acclaimed author Heidi Heilig makes a dazzling middle grade debut with an irrepressible hero\, a compelling cast of friends and enemies\, nonstop action\, and a thoughtful approach to viewing our responsibilities to each other and the world around us.
