HOW IT WORKS

  • Read books: novels, nonfiction, textbooks, audiobooks, graphic novels, or manga.
  • Track your books with a paper log (we can provide that) or digitally on Google Sheets or Goodreads. We can help you set it up!
  • You’ll earn prizes at 10, 25, 50, 75, and 100 books. Just bring your log into the library and claim your prize.
  • Some months, there will be monthly drawings for participants.

FAQ

  • Can I re-read an old favorite or read a book more than once? Yes! Re-reading actually helps you better understand the book.
  • Can I read picture books? Sure, we’ll count them if you are reading to a younger child, but try to challenge yourself by reading books at your level (or beyond) too.
  • How can a textbook count? It’s OK to count a textbook, even if it takes you all semester/year to finish it. Just add it when you’re done.
  • Do books I read for school county? Yes, they do!
  • Do I have to fill out all the columns on the reading tracker? No, you don’t. Please track the month you finish a book, book titles, and a rating. The other columns are optional, but it is fun to see your stats change if you do put in the number of pages and the genres.
  • Do I have us the digital reading tracker? No, you can use a paper reading log, Goodreads, or another app. You’ll just have to bring it in to show library staff.
