Death Doula, Calysta Sutphin, will share her occupation, and afterwards will host a “death cafe” for participants to openly talk about death.
The following is Calysta Sutphin’s bio from her website; click here to learn more.
“I have always wanted to help serve others but I never found a good niche until I learned about the end-of-life doula movement. After training and being certified with Lifespan Doulas, I’m eager to help those in my community in Yellowstone County Montana. I’m always seeking ways to expand my practice and study the latest literature of end of life topics.
I have become a certified grief coach through the Institute of Professional Grief Coaching (IOPGC). I also am a CNA and can help instruct friends and family on how to physically care for their loved ones.
I am also seeking certification to be a pet death doula. I can offer limited services until fully certified. I will serve the Billings area including Laurel and the Huntley Project area. Other areas in Yellowstone County Montana are considered on a case-by-case basis. Virtual appointments will also be considered.”
