Short Story Club

A book club for adults, but with a short story because sometimes there isn’t enough time to read an entire book. We will discuss “Woman Hollering Creek” by Sandra Cisneros.  A young Mexican woman named Cleófilas who marries a Mexican American man and moves to Seguin, Texas. Raised on romanticized telenovelas, her dreams are quickly shattered by her husband’s infidelity, bullying, and isolation in a town built for gossip.
