What Your Library Offers

Yes, Stillwater County Library has books, magazines, audiobooks, and digital books/audiobooks/magazines to borrow, but we are so much more than just books.

  • Need high-speed Internet and/or Microsoft Office to create documents, browse the Internet, email, complete job applications or unemployment claims, and/or connect with others via social media? With eight public computers, we are your communication resource.
  • Need to create a resume and/or apply for jobs? We provide the Internet, the computer, a community job board, and resume help with the assistance of the web-based resume builder found on our website.
  • Don’t have newspaper or magazine subscriptions? Enjoy one of our comfortable chairs while you read the Stillwater County News, the Billings Gazette, and multiple magazines for free.
  • Need a free place for your group of less than 11 to meet for noncommercial purposes? Reserve our conference room. It’s equipped with conferencing equipment, so you are able to Zoom with the rest of your team that couldn’t make it.
  • Want to supplement your kids’ education or have just have some fun with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) kits? We have multiple kits for in-library use.
  • Are you lacking devices? Check out a wireless hotspot, iPad, and/or laptop.
  • Did your printer break or run out of ink? We can print black and white for .15 a side, color for .25 a side, fax unlimited pages for $1, and scan to email for free.
  • Do you want access to specialty machines? We have a Cricut and a 3D printer.
  • Do you want to connect with others in the county or start a new hobby? We offer a wide-variety of free cultural, educational, and entertaining events, programs, and classes each month for pre-k through adults.
  • Does technology frustrate you? Make an appointment for us to help you with the basics of navigating cell phones, email, social media, and Microsoft Word.
  • Want to shift to downloadable books and/or magazines? We can help you learn Libby, the app connected to our vast online library.
  • Need test proctoring. We do that!
  • Do you need a homework resource? Mrs. Aumueller will be offering homework help (first come, first served) every Tuesday or Thursday starting at 3:45.
  • Want an educational and fun site for kids to spend time on? World Book Encyclopedia and BookFlix can be found on our website.
